Sense from Sentamu

I have spoken of my hero Archbishop Desmond Tutu before. He's had a football score named after him. What greater accolade can there be?
Well I now have two heroes. The second one to be elevated to that status is Archbishop John Sentamu. I saw this interview with the BBC yesterday. He speaks with refreshing passion and. above all. he focusses on the issue of knife crime, which is precisely the kind of thing that the Church of England should be focussing on.

If only the head of the Anglican Church (Rowan 'Gandalf' Williams, not the Queen) had a tenth of Sentamu's passion, wit or ability to communicate with people the Anglican Communion might not be in such a lousy state.
